What exactly is this event?
Techno 5k is a 5k run/walk followed by a DJ party at the finish line.
Where can I park?
Parking is available on site, through the entrance of Fort Wayne. The parking lot is big enough to accomodate all attendees.
When is packet pickup?
Packet pickup will happen the day of the event, from 10:00 AM - 11:45 AM. All participants must be registered by 11:45 AM. This is a SOLD OUT event so we recommend arriving by 10:30 AM.
Can I walk the 5k?
Yes participants can either run or walk.
Is there a time limit to finish?
Yes. The time limit to finish is 75 minutes, which would be averaging right around a 24 minute mile.
Is this event professionally timed?
Yes. We are excited to be partnering with RotPac racing to ensure accurate race timing for participants.
What does my registration include?
The "race and music experience" includes entry into the 5k, access to the post-race DJ set, a Detroit Techno 5k shirt, and a finisher's medal. The "music only" experience includes access to the post-race DJ set.
When do I have to register by to ensure my shirt size?
Participants must register by April 25 to ensure they receive their desired shirt size. This is due to our printing and shipping timelines by our preferred vendors. We will do our best to accomodate your size after April 25, but we can not guarantee your size will be in stock.
What's the route terrain?
The route is mixed terrain consisting mostly of cement and gravel. There will be one section where you are running on grass.
Will there be water stations along the route?
Yes. There will be water stations along the route that will have both water and Tailwind Rapid Hydration. However, we also highly encourage all race participants to bring their own water bottles.
Are dogs allowed at the event?
No. As much as we love our furry friends, dogs are not allowed on the race course.
Can I register day of?
